My Happily Ever After Response

So this appeared on my facebook feed today.  After reading it I thought it needed some adding onto for the other side of the spectrum. :)

But another princess said yes to a prince she had dated and gotten to know well over time.  She learned about 'True Love'.  Not that silly 'giddy butterflies in the stomach' people mistook for True Love, but putting someone else before herself.  

She and her best friend the Prince traveled the world together, even sometimes if it was just their neighborhood or city.  When the prince and princess could not afford to travel, the prince would her to a Asian restaurant in the alley, where the native language, food, and students brought the country to them (such was the power he wielded!;) ).

The Princess still met interesting people, even her Prince's family and friends! They both learned new things together and even taught each other new interests.  

The Prince never understood the Princess's love of Rock Concerts, but still bought her tickets to her favorite band for her birthday with his hard earned money he could have spent on himself, and danced with her anyway!

The Princess and the Prince didn't have to put themselves first, because they put each other first, and had the knowledge that their needs would always be met by the other person.  Their joy was more full as they lost themselves by giving to others.

The Prince would joke "Go make me a sandwich" and the Princes would reply "After you give me my foot rub!"   The Prince knew he could never order his Princess around, and that was why he loved her. He admired her strength.   

The Prince and the princess moved into many new and excited castles and lands, some big, and some smaller than an outhouse, but they had fun learning to live in each one!  

They dreamed and are designing the castle they will one day build together and all the little subjects (or servants, as they joked) they would populate it with!  

The Princess by the way, was given many more pairs of shoes by her Prince. 

The Princess and Prince knew pain would be a part of their marriage, but even when they hurt each other, after they worked things out, their love was stronger.  The Princess knew Happily Ever Afters always had some hard times. But you can't have happy times without the sad, and sad times made the happier times even better and their love stronger!

They both made tons of money by the way, because the Princess and the Prince made a budget.

And the toilet seat was always down, because the Prince's mother, the Queen, was a good mother who taught him she would not tolerate him doing it, and so his future Princess would not have to deal with it.  

Even if that wasn't the case, the Princess knew she should get over herself and could deal with popping the seat down now and again. ;)
